Indoor Geolocation Using FCDMA Pseudolites: Signal Structure and Performance Analysis
The signal structure performance of a direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) code division multiple access (CDMA) frequency division multiple access (FDMA) pseudolite indoor communication and localization (geolocation) system is presented and discussed in this paper. The signal structure of a DSSSFCDMA (or C-CDMA) pseudolite indoor geolocation system appears to elegantly solve the near-far prob...
متن کاملWhereMoPS: an indoor geolocation system
Locating users and terminals accurately within buildings is an important technology for mobile applications. However indoor geolocation systems presented in the past are often restricted to certain applications or sensor systems and mostly provide location information in a context-specific manner. The WhereMoPS system is a flexible research platform for advanced indoor geolocation systems which...
متن کاملNode Density and Quality of Estimation for Infrastructure-based Indoor Geolocation Using Time of Arrival
Infrastructure-based indoor geolocation systems utilizing a regular grid arrangement of sensors are being investigated for many applications in indoor wireless networks. One of the factors affecting the Quality of Estimation (i.e. location estimation accuracy) of these systems is node density. In this dissertation we study the effects of node density on indoor geolocation systems based on time ...
متن کاملA Testbed for Real-Time Performance Evaluation of Indoor Geolocation Systems
Recently, there has been an enormous growth of interests in geolocation applications that demand an accurate estimation of the user’s location in indoor areas. The traditional geolocation system, GPS, which was designed for being used in outdoor environments, does not perform well in indoor areas, causing frequent inaccuracies in location estimation. Therefore the need for more accurate positio...
متن کاملA Positioning System Based on Sensor Data Fusion
The geolocation systems are constantly evolving to enhance the integrity, accuracy and availability. Today, the applications are currently emerging and multiplying which is part of an overall context of mobility. In outdoor environments, GNSS (GPS, Galileo,...) is used and provide a good accuracy, but in the indoor environments, GNSS signal is deteriorated due to the signal degradation by diffe...
